Rule 14 : Bar Duty

i) All playing members of Upminster Hockey Club who are legally
eligible shall fulfil a bar rota obligation as set out by the Bar Liaison
Officer at the start of the season.

ii) Members shall be responsible for changing the date of their
obligations with other members if they cannot make their allocated
date. This should however, be communicated to the Bar Liaison
Officer at the earliest possible opportunity.

 iii) Failure to complete a bar rota obligation may result in non-selection
for the first competitive match a player may make. (See also Section 8)

Section 8 : Selection of Teams, Selection Policy

Bar Duty – The Bar Liaison Officer will advise the selection committee
and the Ladies 1st XI Captain of any playing member of the club that has
failed to complete their bar duty without reasonable explanation. Any
playing member of the club doing so shall not be considered for selection
for the next week they are available to play in a competitive game. A player
shall have the right of appeal to the Chairman of the General Committee
within 5 days of the suspension being enforced.
